Jeff said: I'd like to see Emo cut a classical piano CD--not of his own material--so we could compare his chops to those of the *real* world-class classical players. Could Emo do Beethoven the way Alfred Brendel does? Could his Chopin stand up to Artur Rubenstein's or Krystian Zimerman's? What would his interpretation of the *original* version of *Pictures At An Exhibition* be like? ------ Jeff, there's a CD called 'Steinway to Heaven' that may be more of what you're looking for, although I think Emo only plays on one cut, and I don't remember what work he plays. It's a good example of what you're saying tho -- there are quite a few keyboardists on that CD that really can't pull it off, and there are a few surprises on the opposite end as well. It's a worthwhile 'educational' purchase, from a certain standpoint. April
