Even though I'm the initial founder and I tend to be the most
outspoken member of ARIA, I don't want to be the ARIA dictator! If I
had a title, it would be acting chair - until we get off the ground
and on a bit more solid footing, when I would expect that other
people would come forward to facilitate...

Re. the logo choice, I sort of hope that a few more ideas will
emerge, taking into account some of the feedback that's been given,
and then we all sort of reach an email consensus by the January
meeting. If we DON'T reach an informal consensus by Jan 1, then we
would call an e-mail vote and ratify it at the Jan. meeting.

That being said, if I had to pick one of the designs, I would pick
either my own #1 (with the music staff lines), or Alex's new one
  which is right here: http://www.mindspring.com/~agmedia/target.jpg
but I'd really like some more options. I know Alex and I aren't the
only ones with creative ideas. If anyone else has any ideas, email
them to me directly and I will post them for all to see.

I am starting the think the the ARIA website might be the most
important thing we can do in the short-term... we should brainstorm a
bit on what we might hope to accomplish with a website. Bill Kargel &
I have had a few contacts off-list about collaborating on the design
and maintenance. I'm sure we'll talk more about it in January.

Of course the OTHER important thing we can do is show up at each
others gigs, and do collaborative bookings where possible... when is
that Paine's Promise/Cobweb Strange gig again?
