I agree with AWG on these points. There are at least four graphic artists
in our group here and I suspect that anyone in the group will have more of
an interest in putting something together than an outside artist. Plus,
that would give us a lot of opportunity to make changes and updates to the
package on a regular basis.
On a different note, I've been getting some interest in the bands on the
"Paths Less Traveled" CD lately. (for those of you who are new here, we put
out a CD of 10 bands earlier this year which was distributed with each copy
of issue #43 of Progression Magazine). I've several had letters and emails
requesting information about the bands, how to order CD and catalogs from
our record company, etc. I've decided to put together a catalog (print and
online) for distribution so that these people can order any combination of
our CDs at one time. This would also provide one central location to get
information about the bands. Basically it would just be set up as a
consignment and I would just add a section of "other bands available through
Genterine Records". I'll stock 5 copies of each CD, sell them for $12 each
and pay the bands $10 for each CD that sells (the other $2 will go towards
shipping, etc.) I've already spoken with most of the bands on "Paths Less
Traveled", but you don't have to have been on the "Paths Less Traveled" CD
to be involved. If anyone's interested, just let me know.
Veronica, I'm sorry I haven't sent a reply to your 2 emails. Our email
correspondence was starting to get a bit long :-) I thought I'd talk to you
about that (and the distribution thing above) over the phone, but I've just
gotten your machine. I've about to leave for a show up in Athens, but I'll
try to give you a call about everything tomorrow.
Thanks,
Wade
