I know I'd rather hear JM's vocals and lyrics WAY more than JA's!  JA's vocals 
irritate me to no end...although I love the actual music of Yes..if only I can 
get past the vocals! :(  oh well.

I'm quite sure that JM wouldv'e been much more *lucid*  also...had he had the 
chance to mature also.  Guess we'll never know! (maybe when we get  to *you 
know where*) ;)

I don't agree with you on the part about removing the hyberbole and colourful 
metaphors from JM's lyrics...but to each their own! :)  All I know is that I 
still find PG the most entertaining and next is Kevin Gilbert! :)

I really don't sit and rant about music I don't like...I was just teasing you 
Mark! :)  

I can't wait til the Caravan/Nektar show!  Should be great fun! :)

  Jon is clever in that he vaguely points to spiritual truth and positive 
awakenings... A kind of "fill in the blank" template which serves any of a 
number of different religious and philosophic world views.  

  His lyrics (and his interviews) have become much more *lucid* in his mature 
years... (mature years... can I say that about someone in their 50's?)

  Who knows, perhaps Jim  would have become more lucid had he survived to see 
his 50's.  I'd suspect he would.  

  But I think when you remove the hyberbole and colorful metaphor from Jim's 
lyrics, you arrive at a wandering meaninglessness.   Remove the hyperbole and 
colorful metaphor from Jon Anderson's lyrics and you arrive at a wandering 
meaningfulness.

  All very drenched IMO of course.
