[atlantaprog] Re: female guitarists/musicians and Web-Radio Airplay for all artists of A.R.I.A.

Hi:
One of the things I've not done and will try my utmost to avoid is plugging my
radio station/website on A.R.I.A. (or any other board) in thread/post form.

This thread, though fits right in with a show I'm planning to air beginning in
about three weeks:
Women In Progressive Music.

We're still not sure if this is going to be once per month, or a once per week
show, but this show will air and will air soon with a tie-in to a well known
women-in-music based website. Personally, I'm planning for the show to air
once per week and I usually get my way. ;) The show will be live and for
the most part, playlist-unplanned, unless we're able to secure interviews,
advance releases, etc.

Eventually, the show's host will be a girl from Baltimore, who helped develop
the project and is currently consulting on programming and artists relations
with her own production company.

The following is directed to the artist/band members of A.R.I.A.:

Last week, I'd sent an e-mail communication to every band listed as members of
A.R.I.A., introducing myself and my radio station/website. I've yet to receive
one response. The e-mail went to whatever contact addresses were on each
band's website. If your webmasters or you have spam filters on those
addresses, I assure you, that the e-mail and this post is not spam for anything
other than getting your band some exposure. We are a non-commercial station
and site. The only thing we ask for is some music for our DJ's to air and the
occasional interview and station ID.

I'd really like to hear from Paine's Promise and Cobweb Strange, as the ladies
are what this upcoming show is all about.

If you're a band member/artist here at A.R.I.A. and your web-contact did not
receive last week's e-mail, please let me know immediately.

My direct contact is kenny@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Thanks for your time and I hope I didn't bore the main body of membership here
at A.R.I.A.

Please note: Z-Axis and Mindworm are already on our "air any track" list at
the station. Man on Fire, being on ProgRock Records is also aired "any track"
as we are receiving promotional copies from Mr. George for his label's releases.
