Sorry if I misquoted..... Your idea about venues that lean towards original music paying into a musical development fund is a good one. It might even be able to tie into the new paradigm of music being spread by the independent musician via the web, etc...Of course, how that money (money put into the fund) is divided up is a totally different can-o-worms.........
