I could definitely see that argument for some of the early punk and new  
wave, but not that mid-eighites crap pop sound with the merrry little 
synthesizers 
crammed into every nook and cranny and those godawful robot drums that just 
go "thud...thud...thud...thud...thud..thud." with no variation at all.
