I'm not going to open that can of worms!  I think my distaste for modern R&B
stems mostly from the reliance on drum machines, synth bass, cheesy
lite-jazz keyboards, and especially the overly melismatic vocal style
popular today.  If they recorded with 100% real musicians, used Farfisas,
Clavinets and Rhodes piano and kept to a more straightforward vocal style
I'd still like it, analog or digital.
