Hi,
Some Z-Axis things coming up...
First off, tomorrow, Sat. 9/17, Z keyboardist Allen Welty-Green will be
tweaking his trusty Micromoog alongside a number of other Atlanta
synthesists and thereminists as part of Eyedrum's Robert Moog tribute.
The evening starts at 8 PM with the first Atlanta screening of the Moog
film, then the noise begins! Come early and see the art. More info at
http://eyedrum.org.
Then on Sunday, 9/18, Z-AXIS returns to the the meadow in Freedom Park
(corner of Moreland and Druid Place) to perform for the closing event
of the summer-long Art in Freedom Park exhibit. We take the stage at
7:40, but plan on coming early and catching the act that precedes
us... ROBOCROMP. They are a chamber-fusion duo featuring Jeff Crompton
(sax and clarinet) and Rob Rushin (guitars & electronics).
More info on the events page at http://www.artinfreedompark.org.
Then on Wednesday, 9/28. Z-AXIS will be opening for premiere U.S. space
rockers SPACESEED (http://www.spaceseed.org) along with long time
Hawkwind synth guy HARVEY BAINBRIDGE
(http://harvey.strange-trips.com/). This is the kick-off date for their
"Clouds Over Titan 2005 Tour". The show will also feature the
absolutely mind-blowing Solar Fire lightshow - just off tour with Ozric
Tentacles.
The show is at Eyedrum (http://eyedrum.org), Doors open at 8. The cover
charge is a mere $7.
Then we return to the studio to finish mixing our long-awaited second
CD, "Concatenations" - yes, the tracking is finally completed!
"Concatenations" features guest appearances by Harold Timms on guitar,
sitar & lap steel, Sundog's Chip Epsten on violin, and Beth Heidleberg
on flute. Concatenations will also include several video clips,
including our Holy Ground cave video, the promo video for the Reality
Check show, and concert clips of Z-Axis performing at last year's
Roguefest.
We'll be announcing the date for our CD release event in a few weeks.
We're planning a big production!
Thanks!
Z-Axis
