Hi all,
Just wanted to invite you out to see Z-Axis next week at 9-Lives Saloon
in Little Five Points. The show will be Thursday, 6/24. at 9 PM. We
will be sharing the stage with Sundog, an amazingly eclectic jazzy
ensemble featuring various combinations of various combinations of
violin, cello, guitar, trumpet, trombone, saxophone, tuba, chromatic
harmonica, bass, drums & keyboards. I have heard their sound described
as Zappa-meets-Miles Davis - and that's not too far off!
This show is part of the monthly ARIA (Art Rock In Atlanta) series. For
more information on ARIA, click here: http://www.gnosisarts.org/aria
Also, Z-Axis keyboardist Allen Welty-Green is tentatively scheduled to
perform an ambient electronic set as part of the ongoing "Info Demo"
series at Eyedrum on Friday, June 25th. Nothing official yet... more
details as they develop.
Next month, Z-Axis makes their triumphant return to Roguefest. July 17
& 18 at the New American Shakespeare Tavern. Go to
http://roguemusicfest.com/ for details.
We also have a track (and a video clip) on Ghost Notes, a compilation
CD of Southeastern progressive music that will be distributed worldwide
in the summer issue of Progression Magazine.
Work on our next CD, Concatenations, is proceeding at a frenzied pace
in anticipation of a July release. Stay tuned! meanwhile, you can
download a sample track from our website at http://www.gnosisarts.org/z
Thanks!
AWG
