[atlantaprog] Z-Axis update

Hi all,

Here's the latest news from the Z-Axis world. Lots of art shows happening. Lots of recording happening,

First, some upcoming shows:

April 14: Z-Axis will be playing at the Seen & Heard Festival at The B Complex in Atlanta's West End. Seen & Heard, produced by Estrofest, is a 5-night festival of woman-positive performance, visual arts, and music. We're playing the first night as part of the art opening. The fest itself has varying ticket prices, but the opening night is free. In Addition to Z, there wil be three short film screenings, a set by singer/songwriter Kelly Love, and lots of great visual art. Doors open at 7:30. We'll probably play around 9:30

April 24: Z-Axis will play at Music Under the Stars at East Lake Commons. This is an annual event at Atlanta's largeest co-housing development. We'll be playing with elecronic act Touchtone and one other musical act. More info soon...

May 1: Z-Axis will be playing at the Salon of Sensations (SOS) also at The B Complex. This is an art-event and party with work by many of Atlanta's most innovative artists. Musical acts also include Frisky Berlin, JJ & the Hustlers, and Endless Array. Performances start at 7. More info to come...

May 15: Z-Axis at RIPE Atlanta. This in amazing outdoor art event in the spririt of Burning Man. Lots of amazing installtions, fire sculptures, sideshow acts, wild costumes, etc. We'll be doing spontaneous improvs all night long as part of an installation featuring projections and visula arts by Madeleine St. Romain.

July 17 - 18: Z-Axis will be at the Third Annual Roguefest at the Atlanta Shakespeare Tavern. other musical acts include Karma Lingo, Cobweb Strange, Timothy Pure, Tenebrious, Hazard Factor, Orphan Project, Lord Only, Man on Fire, Unbounded Sky, Belljar, & Wheatstone Bridge. Details to come...

The studio work for our long-delayed second CD is going well. The release date is set for July 1! Look for preview clips to appear on our site soon.

A medly of two of our new tracks will be on next Progression Magazine compilation CD, due in summer 2004. The CD will also include our "cave video" for "Holy Ground", a track from our Reality Check CD.

Z-Axis founder Allen Welty-Green has started a weblog. Some of the content actually deals with Z-Axis! If you're the least bit interested, in AWG's occasional ramblings, there's a link to it on the Z-website, but don't say you weren't warned...
