[atlantaprog] Z-Axis this Saturday - update

Hi Z-people,

The new Z-Axis CD, Concatentations, just arrived from the plant today. We'll be making it available thru the usual online channels pretty soon, but for now, the only way to get a copy is to come see us THIS SATURDAY at our CD Release brouhaha at Eyedrum (http://eyedrum.org).

We'll be playing the new CD in its entirety, along with a couple of old favorites and a couple of new things too. We'll be joined by some of the various guest musicians who appear on the CD - Harold Timms (lap steel), Beth Heidleberg (flute), and possibly Chip Epsten (violin).

We'll also be featuring multi-media work by Madeleine St. Romain, including her hand-painted slides, now transferred to video for live manipulation along with various other moving images (including some spectacular dance improvs by Hillary McDowell). Rumor has it the Madeleine has also developed some rear-projections shadow maniputlations as well, so the whole event should be quite the visual treat.

We now have a fully-functional myspace page where you can here some of the tracks from Concatenations. Check it out and be sure and add us to your friends (http://myspace.com/zaxismusic). And be sure and watch our regular website (http://z-axis.org) for reviews, composer notes, etc.

Thanks,

Z-Axis
