[atlantaprog] Z-Axis at Eyedrum this weekend - and more!

Hi Z-People - Big weekend coming up...

On Friday, Z-Axis will be doing their thing (first show in many months - we're psyched!) as part of the Convergence Space Fest at Eyedrum. Also on the bill will be Strix Varia - a project helmed by our good friend ProgOwl and featuring the Z-Axis rhythm-buddies.

Then on Saturday, a couple of the Z-crew side projects (aka Z-Pods) will be on tap. AWG (as "Tannhauser Gate"), will do an ambient synth set, then Mark will be doing loopy ambient guitar accompaniment to the dulcet vocals of Drolma as Shush (Mark & Drolma were founding members of Atlanta Art-Pop legends Bleu Velveta - this will mark Droma's return to Atlanta stages after a number of years!).

Both evenings will include sets by many other great musicians - detail below. Come on down!

On Friday and Saturday, May 18th & 19th, Eyedrum presents a celebration of space music. Friday night ("Outer Space") will feature edgier space-ambiance and full-on space rock, while Saturday ("Inner Space") wil feature more contemplative ambient space music.

Both shows start at 9 PM. Admission is $8 per evening, or $10 for both nights. Eyedrum is at 290 MLK Jr. Blvd SE, Atl 30312. 404-522-0655.

Wilder, the swirling, slippery soundscapes of Scott Burland & Frank Schultz' Duet For Theremin & Lapsteel, and the multi-faceted synthesizer experiments of Tannhauser Gate.
