Well, there was no media to spread the music at that time either. No
way to buy a record, or a 78, or even a wax cylindar. The ONLY way to
hear the music back them was to go to a concert. Kinda hard to see
Mozart conducting in Vienna when you live in Paris...
If there were a recording industry back then, who knows what would have
happened...
