I've always wondered why Atlanta does not have two public radio stations--one
for music and one
for talk. I came here from Tallahassee, a much smaller town that has two
stations for just that. I
was pretty surprised at the number of NPR programs not available in ATL.
And for that matter, why do we have two public TV stations that offer basically
the same
programming? Could we shut down one of the TV stations and use the money to
open a radio station?
But I guess this issue is not for us to solve . . .
