[atlantaprog] Re: WABE

I respectfully disagree - but maybe that's because I am a
political-activist type of person. NPR offers the only truly
intelligent news/talk programming in the country, and it offers a
desperately needed alternative to the intolerant poison spewed on AM
radio by Limbaugh, Boortx, Hannity and their ilk (to be fair, there are
a FEW things I agree with Boortz on - the pointlessness of the drug
war, the inordinate influence of the religious right, etc. but that's
another topic!)

And re. classical music, I like a lot of classical, but JEEZ! Talk
about a restrictive playlist!!! Clear Channel ain't got nuthin' on Lois
Reitses!!!

We really need TWO stations - classical and NPR news/talk. But due to
the various factors cited in the CL article, that ain't going to happen
anytme soon... so for the sake of balance BRING ON THE TALK! I'll just
have to get my classical music from CDs...
