Out of all of the places you've mentioned Beth, I would give my vote
to the Darkhorse Place (10high?). At CJs, you have the problem of
Buckhead - i.e. traffic/parking/drunks. I don't know Brandywine, but
if it's in Buckhead, then you'll have the same problems as CJs. Many
people I know wouldn't even set foot in the Buckhead bar district on
a Friday night if you paid them!
The eXtreem is WAY out there... BUT I don't think that would be a
hindrance to prog fans. And I think they would work a deal with you
on the price (remember, even though it's $15, that includes your
beer. If you don't drink, it's only $7) The main problem with the
eXtreem is it's LACK OF AIR CONDITIONING (IN JULY!!!) - also a crummy
sound operator (but that could be fixed by bringing in your own sound
person - and having them get stage plots from each band to make sure
there are sufficient mics/direct boxes/monitors/etc.).
What's this place near GA Tech?
