Best place in town for concerts. The owner, Steve, is a great guy. He even
came to an ARIA meeting once. About the only place in town that books prog with
any degree on regularity - The Musical Box, Crimson, Wakeman, Jon Anderson,
Tony Levin Band, Flower Kings (w/Z-Axis!), Ozric, and others. Hippest
neighborhood in Atlanta (I should know... I live there!). Clubs, theaters,
funky gift shops, great restaurants, natural food store, feminist book store,
crystal shop, lots of colorful residents, etc. It has it's share of panhandlers
and such which some might find uncomfortable - but they're mostly harmless. It
also has it's own police precinct so it's relatively safe (for an intown area).

I presume your asking because of your Nektar connection? Steve said he's
looking at having them around September. No better place in town for them!

Can somebody tell me a bit about The Variety Playhouse?
    What I'm looking for people's opinions who've been there......is it a nice
place in a decent area ?
I have all info that I need like contact info, stage dimensions, power
sets, etc.

    Thanks in advance!
