Hi folks!
Hope all is going well for you this month. I sure am
enjoying the great weather we have had here in Atlanta
this week!
Nice to see Feb's arty rock gigs went well. I am
still lamenting missing Little Atlas, I heard it was a
great gig! Had a session that night though and duty
called, and kept calling till long after 11pm I am
afraid. Maybe we can do a show together though
sometime, Steve and co! Drop me a line.
March has some cool shows coming up too. You all are
aware of the ARIA showcase on the 18th at 9 Lives-
with NoiseDotCom and Karma Lingo. Hope you can all
attend that one and have our first showcase at the new
venue be a big success. Just show up, we will see
that you have a great evening!
Also, just added, another dose of NoiseDotCom a mere
two days 3/20 later back at CJ's Landing. A local
group called As We Dream has asked us to headline the
evening, and we were glad to say we could. As We
Dream is a band you will hear more about in the future
around here. They have a tasty blend of rock and pop
with an occasional arty flair. Think XTC meets
Smithereens, meets a small touch of Eric Johnson style
delay drenched soloing and you get this exciting trio.
Check out their site and by all means, come see the
show! Starts at 8pm or so.

Also in the news, the next best thing to Kansas, a
local collection of art rock musicians known as the
Southern Wheatheads, are gearing up for their yearly
gig. No venue or date has been set yet, but practice
begins this week. I have had the pleasaure of playing
guitar in this group the past couple years and this
year I am heading up operations. I don't know if
Kansas needed a tribute band of sorts, but they have
one! This started as a get together of musicians/fans
from all over the USA. We played KS music for the
fans prior to the taping of the DVD Device, Voice,
Drum, two years ago, and since then I rounded up the
locals here and turned it into a yearly tradition.
More news as it develops, we are going to take
practice at a leisurely pace and play out when we feel
we have all our T's crossed and I's dotted. You will
be the first to hear when the gig is set in stone.
More news soon. This is a fun gig, I think a lot of
you will enjoy it, and all the above for that matter.
