This Tuesday I will be featuring the music of spring! I love getting ideas
from the vast audio radiance so drop me a note and let me know what you
think. I am looking for songs that remind you of spring, or that talk about
spring. There are many directions you can go with this and I would love to
hear what you think.
Also, I am planning a much harder theme for the near future that may take
some time to come up with. I have been reading a book called "This is Your
Brain on Music" by Daniel Levin. In one of the passages he talks about how
tempo of music seems to affect mood of music. However, on reflection, I
know there have been many points that I have heard uptempo music deliver sad
news, or downtempo music speak of joy. So I want to create a theme out of
this contradiction. If you have heard songs where the lyrics and tempo do
not match, let me know and I will put them all together for some future
broadcast. Who knows what other themes this book may spawn. If you want an
interesting read about the way we process music, and the various dimensions
we experience in music, I think you will find this book fascinating as
well.
Thanks for listening, and Prog On!
Woody
