[atlantaprog] The Prog Palace

Hey all,

Website update!!!!

Good news for all.
The website is up and functioning with new features.
As you will see the colors have changed a bit to brighten it up a bit.

NEW to the site is a new playlist. This playlist will allow for
listeners to request songs, buy the music (if a link is available to
purchase the music), chat, as well as all the other features previously
on the site.
The playlist links will be updated to have those listeners interested in
a band point to their site. If they wish to buy the CD and it's
available on Amazon.com a link will take them to amazon.com to buy the
music.
If there's no music available to purchase it is currently not pointing
anywhere. There is a small graphic showing the album cover when the song
is playing (if available).

For those who don't have a CD and only music this maybe a place I can
link to your website to have them purchase MP3 recordings. This would
get your music out to the public as well as make some $$

The chat is using Java and I know some may not be able to access it due
to the limitations. If using Windows XP you may need to install Java
from http://java.com (just don't uninstall and reinstall as I did and
mess up Java completely on this computer).

The requests work now as well. On the NOW PLAYING link you can see the
song playing and view the TOP 10 requested songs. Once I get enough
requests going for certain songs it will update and I will run a program
playing the Top 10 songs requested.

Comments, suggestions, etc welcome.

If anyone has a problem with requesting a song please send me the error
code. Make sure the message on the error codes does NOT say due to
recently being played.

On a more serious note, I have a feeling I may not have a job by
tomorrow and I am in search of one. If you know of a position open for a
Tech support person that has done basic troubleshooting in email and
webhosting services, and billing dept support let me know. I have also
done tech support for DSL Help desk and was a lead (supervisor). I've
also been to school for recording music and would love to get back into
doing that. (Resumes are available) Sorry for the plug, but if it
happens I have to jump fast into something quick.

Thanks for everything.

Enjoy,

Greg Stafford
