True. But that largely depends on the kind of band. You might shred
your indie cred buying a $5000 drum set! ;-P (But hey, at least
they'd have cool new instruments as well as $4000 in pocket when it
was all over. Not *so* bad, in a way--at least if you're just
starting out and had a day job to return to!)
