I mentioned this at the very first ARIA meeting as well.  No one seemed
interested in following that route.  There are TONS of festivals every
year.  Not only in neighboring states, but there are a lot of festivals
in Ga. As well, esp. in the spring/summer.

As far as clubs that cater to that, there are only a few:

Jake's Roadhouse (kinda way far away)
The Brandy House (outskirts of Buckhead)

Since the Dunhams moved from the Brandy House to Jakes, I wonder if the
Brandy is hurting for bands and might be more receptive?

Hook up a jam band w/ a prog band (all of those jam band fans will be
like "you mean that you can have more than ONE rhythm/riff in a single
song?" when they see the prog bands), or whatever.  The hippie crowd
just likes good musicianship, even if it is not danceable.  Just go to a
show and ask them if they ever listen to bands like Yes...
