What's wrong with banning all cellphones, notebook pcs, PDA's, etc. from
concerts? One of the reasons I don't go to Chastain anymore is because of
the yakkers, who just can't resist the urge to look up from their Chardonnay
and brie, and call their friends to say, "Whatcha doin',
Cydnee/Brittany/Cody/Chase (insert yuppie name of choice here), oh I'm not
doing much... just listening to some MOODY BLUES! Woooooo! Can you hear
them?" People ought to leave their electronic gimcracks at home or in the
car, and listen to the $%^&* music... like people did in the 70's before
they were invented. I'm probably in the minority here, but honestly, I'd
rather be in a restaurant, bar or concert hall full of cigarette smokers
than listen to the beeps and ringing (oh I forgot, phones play inane
snippets of classical music now instead) of pagers and phones in public
places, not to mention the pointless one-sided conversations that follow.

I feel better now. ;-)

BTW, just to answer the direct question about what Libertarianism is, it's a
combination of fiscal conservatism and social liberalism, which holds that
the gov't (federal at least) should be minimal, and restricted to obvious
constitutional functions like the military, Congress, copyright/patent
office, coast guard, establishment of weights and measures and currency,
etc., and enforcing laws that restrict people from injuring one another.
Most other functions would be carried out by local govt's, private
organizations (profit and non-profit), and individuals. Basically, there
would be a lot fewer gov't departments and laws, but not anarchy.
