Fatalistic yes, but I don't detect the nostalgia.  He seems knowledgeable about 
and interested in 90's and current acts, not just a grumpy curmudgeon running 
down the youngsters.  IMO, some things are better now, and the palette is 
changing, but you still have the unfortunate idea that certain factors were in 
prog's favor in the 70's that aren't as strong now.
