[atlantaprog] Soundscape #83 Progaoke

Ok, well I knew the idea of doing karaoke prog was outlandish, but we played
some great music throughout the evening. Walter's karaoke pick was for
Hocus-Pocus...I wish we could have heard him do the little gnome part. This
show was not exactly defined by new progressive music, but some highlights
includes Rodrigos Y Gabriela (an alternative flamenco duo who will blow your
mind in Ixtapa and the cover piece Orion from Metallica). Also of note was
new Eddie Vedder from the soundtrack to "Into the Wild" as well as new music
from Robert Plant and Alison Krauss (a strange duo to say the least but this
album has it's moments). Other new and of note pieces include Singularity,
Gov't Mule, Michael Lee Firkins, and yes...more Telestrion. Oh and also we
looked into T.S. Eliot's "Waste Land" as our book club selection. So have
at it, go for it and enjoy.

Next week is the second annual Progoween here on Soundscape. My yearly
hobby of creating halloween cd's has blossomed into the 4 hour soundscape
extravaganza. What I need from you listeners is your suggestion for scary
halloween music. Everyone have a great week and I will see you next time.
