And going on right under our noses, too.

A radio show on WRAS from 8-10 on Sunday nights. (Now playing is a '70s prog band called Island that I've never heard of, but they're pretty good. Long tune, too. They played Pekka Pohjola and a bit of Nektar before this.)

I contacted the guy and here's what he had to say (I keep telling ya'll, younger people are really starting to pick up on prog. You ignore them at your peril!).

"Although the show does mostly older stuff from other countries (I hi-jacked the world music show and turned it into a prog/psych/Krautrock show since I like that music so much, so I kept the international theme to make station management more okay with what I did), I do play a few songs from new bands and it would be great to help out with the local prog/psych scene (I'm actually really excited that there are still good musicians playing prog-styled music!). I've been amazed at how many prog fans there are in Atlanta--the response to the show has been wonderful--so some kind of event might be a great idea. Please let your friends know about the show, and I look forward to talking more about music in the future!"

Expect some Eyedrum collaborations with this guy!
