[atlantaprog] Show #87 The Maze of Life

If a DJ screams and no one is in chat is he still a DJ? Perhaps he is
Scrodingers DJ and no one knows if there is a DJ, they just sort of
speculate. Well as the DJ who far too often wears his heart on his
sleeve, I suggest you run away from this one. In an attempt to clean
the demons out of my head I sought out music as metaphor for my life
as it is now. I sought out archetypal schemes that would be
universally understood and reflective of the great raging heart that
holds our humanity pinned against the corkboard of consciousness. I
looked for ambiguities that would underline the maze that we go
through day in and day out under the repressive regimes of power that
both govern and squeeze the life out of the world around us. I
sodding well played music of a self indulgent nature and attempted to
meld all of this into a labrythine structure of song. Well as an
idea, that all sounds fine and dandy, but it skips a few beats and
turns out to be a somewhat flawed masterpiece. Nevertheless should
you venture into the archival abyss, you will find a handy packet of
rage and helplessness, that perhaps triumphantly rises above all of
the pettiness of the world as it reaches it's dramatic conclusion. I
am sure Davinci had many rough drafts and this to be sure is one of
them for yours truly. The archive will be up in the next hour or so.

However, if you want to skip right on to a more happy care bear sort
of theme, drop in next week when soundscape finds itself on the
playground. We will also take a trip into wonderland as we pay homage
to the works of Lewis Carroll. Your suggestions are always
appreciated, just throw me down a line.
