[atlantaprog] Re: Rush in Atlanta...

wow, a set of geetar strings , eh?;)lol

anyway...I don't know...I mean I have this picture in my head of the police
getting a bit carried away and him accidently knocking her (I think it was a
woman, right) down the steps...I just can't picture Alex shoving someone down
steps intentionally:( Of course as most of you know I'm NO Rush fan..not at
ALL! BUT...I do REALLY like Alex since I watched the Rush in Rio DVD ....I
thought he was AWESOME! :-)

PEACE
Beth

....Gene, do you really think they would've
planned and sceduled the tour out that far in
advance if they thought he was really going to do
  some time over this?

  Hi Beth,

I really have no idea. Just passing along the
  article.

As to the speculations over his guilt or
innocence, and what punishments would be
appropriate, that is why we have a judicial
system - to let the facts come out. Both sides
will have their say in court, and I'm sure that
  Alex will be well-represented.

However, I will say this. If - and it's a big
"if" - he did push someone down a flight a stairs
I won't have a whole lot of sympathy for him.
You can kill a person that way. And the fact
that I've been a RUSH fan since Hemispheres
  doesn't really change that.

As for the "cops having it in for him", well, I
suppose someone could just as easily speculate
that Alex "had it in" for the cops, especially if
it's determined that he did indeed push someone
  down a stairwell.

My personal hope is that he is found innocent.
But that's really just the part of me that's a
Rush fan who doesn't want to see a musician I
greatly admire go to jail. On the other hand, if
he's found guilty I think he should pay the
price. And no, 5 years is not too long for doing
something to someone out of malice that could
  result in their death.

Just my take on it, which along with 4 bucks will
get me a new set of guitar strings. ;)

  Gene
