[atlantaprog] Proposals

To all

I propose a meeting this month for us to discuss how to leverage our bands in order to garner greater access to live venues and radio access.  Points of order could include whether "Ghost Notes" could be used for the purposes of radio demos, if we should centralize our efforts by hiring one tour manager, if we can enforce organizational discipline by attending each other's performances at a certain venue on a rotational basis, how to push member CDs at other life performances, and overall transforming A.R.I.A. into a trade union of sorts.

Most of us are not just fanboys of other prog bands, but either musicians or intimately involved in the music industry.   We should use our collective talents, access, and contacts to advance our own interests.   Not only do we have a self-interest in pushing our own music careers, we have an obligation to overturn the current musical order which we would all agree is in serious need of revolution.  The local scene is attrocious.  We must supply a counter-trend.

By custom we meet on the last Thursday of the month.  Where we meet is unimportant, but I believe we should act quickly and decisively - and unanomously.

Dear Greg,

Thanks for the news.

I read that the singer from Alaska would join them.

Paul
