Personally, I think the hardest part of a show like this is going to be
striking the appropriate balance between vintage and modern material. Stuff
like Gabriel Genesis, Yes, Crimson, Van Der Graaf Generator, Hatfield, Magma,
Zappa, Gentle Giant, Tangerine Dream, PFM etc. needs to be heard and it's
also the material that brings the audience to the table. At the same time,
it's frightfully important to give modern bands the support they deserve as
well. I adore echolyn, Spock's Beard, Anekdoten, Anglagard, Flower Kings,
Thinking Plague, The Cardiacs, Sigur Ros, Deus Ex Machina etc. I think it's
also necessary to set aside time for local music as well, even though I'm
shamefully unfamiliar with much of it. I've seen Z-Axis a couple of times
and I've heard a little bit of Cobweb Strange. Wade, weren't you also in
Roots Of Consciousness? I think we've met a time or two.

Anyway, with a two to three hour time slot and a genre that is known for some
lengthy flights of fancy it's just not easy to get everything in.
