Hi all,

I'm posting this thread to the listserv so everyone can be in on
these sorts of things. After all, even though I'm the one who got the
ball rolling, this isn't just my project!

Someone else who wasn't at the meeting has mentioned his interest in
DJ'ing too. Perhaps a shared arrangement would make life easier for
all concerned...

This was his message:

>As far as the DJ thing is concerned, I was a DJ in college for a couple of
>years, hosted a prog show and would dearly *love* another crack at it as long
>as I don't get saddled with a "graveyard" type time slot on a weeknight.
>Chris Hosford (aka UncleEggsy)

The trick is going to be getting a show in the first place!!! I'm
going to contact WRFG and see what they have to say. It would most
likely require a commitment from you to be there each week at
specific hours. I don't what the deal is on pre-recorded shows.

If someone wants to take a crack at WREK or WRAS, have at it! Might
be difficult since none of us are students. Paul Cashman, who wasn't
at the meeting but is included in these discussions, has some
experience with WREK (he works on the show WREKage - metal? goth? I
haven't heard it so I don't know). His tech-student collaborator is
about to graduate though, so this might be a dead end. (BTW, for
those who don't know him, Paul was influential in bringing Spock's
Beard to Dragoncon and Ozric Tentacles to Variety. He's also involved
with Progpower)

Whatever happens, I think the actual programming of such a show
should be a collaborative affair. There are so many genres and
sub-genres of "prog" that we want to make sure the diversity is
represented. Also, a good helping of local programming would be cool
too!
