I mentioned this at the last meeting-- there is an open mic at Smith's Olde
Bar, Tuesdays 8pm, usually once a month, (next Tuesday is one). Josh Rifkin
runs it (404.667.4599) and you get two songs; just bring your instruments.
Sometimes they do full bands, sometimes just acoustic; it depends on whether
he can get a band to bring a drumkit or not (when we do it we bring ours and
a bass amp), so call him and check. It's been good experience for us. We
won't be able to do it this time since one of our guys is in LA at the NAMM
show but I may go and do something solo/acoustic.
On a side note, I was wondering if the bands represented here could
recommend a cd duplicator that you used and had a good experience with. We
have two good options (CDMan, ON4) but any other places would be helpful.
Hopefully I'll see some of you at the Extreem gig next Thurs...
