99X is playing a song of theirs called, apparently, "Welcome Home".
What does it sound like?
It's HEA-VYYY MET-TALLL, with a *bit* of "nu-metal" flavor. Not even
thrash or death-metal; it seems mostly like really heavy classic
metal--very little "alternative" flavor, and no punk. Yes, the
singer has a somewhat Geddy Lee-like timbre and range, but that's
about it; he has more of the mannerisms of a mook-rock singer than of
Lee himself. HEA-VYYY MET-TALLL for people too *kewl* to like
HEA-VYYY MET-TALLL, I suppose.
(Spot soon afterward for "Smells Like The '90s". Would it sound any
different from what they're already playing?)
