[atlantaprog] Re: NWA

Real relevance? Not really. Except than many of us art-rockers are constantly trying to understand the appeal of certain musical genres, and this makes a great statement on the subject of "gangsta rap". To be fair though, this particular rap album is often held up as a classic of the genre (the "Court of the Crimson King" of the genre, so to speak), and NWA do try and make a relevant political statement, as opposed to being all about boasting and denigration of women.

And besides, I thought some of ya'll might find it mildly amusing... I did.

The masterpiece of politically relevant rap - reduced to it's essence! Check out the link quickly before (as they say) they get their cease & desist letter! Warning - not for the squeamish (you might want to avoid this link Beth!)
