Speaking of good concerts, did anyone else see Umphrey's McGee last week? It
was my third time; not quite as enjoyable as the other times, (this was in the
Tabernacle and the last two were at VP), but still great.
Top shows for me, OTTOMH:
1. King's X @ Roxy-- '92
2. Adrian Belew w/ Bears/Psychodots @ VP-- ~94?
3. Umphrey's McGee @ VP-- 04
4. Yes @ Taft Theater, Cincinnati-- ~97
5. System of a Down, Gwinnett-- 05
6. Dixie Dregs @ VP, ~02
7. Some unknown jazz jam session @ Smalls, NYC, 94

In some cases surgery can help, although the patient in never quite the
same...but it can save a career! The best example is Elton John. He tends to
sing lower than he used to, but no big deal.
By the way, I saw Elton live in 1986 before he "toned down" his stage act.
THREE costume changes, a MASSIVE white grand piano, backup singers, a horn
section, a bunch of classic tunes...it was over the top! It is easily the best
live show I have *EVER* heard/seen, prog or otherwise! ;-)

I had vocal cord nodes, and they resolved with no deficits whatever. He
sounded very good in DC last week.
