In some cases surgery can help, although the patient in never quite the
same...but it can save a career! The best example is Elton John. He tends to
sing lower than he used to, but no big deal.
By the way, I saw Elton live in 1986 before he "toned down" his stage act.
THREE costume changes, a MASSIVE white grand piano, backup singers, a horn
section, a bunch of classic tunes...it was over the top! It is easily the best
live show I have *EVER* heard/seen, prog or otherwise! ;-)
