[atlantaprog] Re: Music: sex, sleep, eat, drink, dream

No Wade, I didn't take it like that at all. I took it that you DO stand up
for people's rights to listen to whatever and I was agreeing and putting my
take on it. It seemed to me that some opinions here were the opposite -
that when people listen to (and actually like) the "wrong" music, they are
part of the Great Unwashed. I was trying to point out that if I was
correctly picking up on that - and hey, I could be wrong - that I think
that is possibly a destructive attitude when this listserv is supposed to
help build a community. I also think, as I said once before, that we
should be interested in WHY people like what they like instead of not
caring because they are "enlightended." We should be reaching people based
on what they are actually like in reality. Maybe we need to learn more
about people in general, our potential audiences and potential friends and
supporters... It's capitalism at work.

I once had a shirt in high school that said "Fuck" in the exact shape of
the Ford company logo. I wore it all day long before anyone even noticed!
Believe it or not, I never even got in trouble for that. Imagine what
would happen in school nowadays. And you know, I miss that shirt...
