Yeah, what she said! ;-)
Very well thought out V.
What is concerning me is that right after a very
successful inaugural "prog nite", something that was a
major part of our "Prime Directive" that has now been
achieved, there has been a definite turn in the "mood"
or "vibe" on this listserv.
People, let's not start turning against one another
now...not when we are right where we want to be!
Otherwise we will collapse from within and it would
all be for nothing!
Personally, I think that the topic of music and the
arts (or the growing lack thereof) in the school
system is QUITE relevant to discuss here. I would
like to think that the vast majority of us here (who
have kids) would want every opportunity for them to
achieve their greatest potential, musical or
otherwise.
As you all know (well, most of you anyway), my wife
Bridget and I are expecting a baby again. I will tell
you now that I will be damned if my child(ren) end up
like mindless zombies! They will think and act for
themselves, and dream the impossible dreams of
childhood and young adulthood and live their lives
productively and follow life, liberty and the pursuit
of happiness!
However, I also agree with Wheat's observation on
posting replies here. I have been guilty of the extra
stuff too. The COMPROMISE is to simply remove what is
not necessary! If there is part of a post you want to
quote from, by all means use it, but for eveybody's
sake, let's not clog up our inboxes needlessly with
the rest of it! I promise I will watch out for this
myself in the future!
I wouldn't be terribly surprised if a few people wish
to leave this listserv now. I just hope that they
don't completely remove themselves from an entity that
they can be a vital part of.
Because of distance AND my crappy work schedule, I am
unable to attend the monthly ARIA meetings. This
listserv is my best option to stay "in the loop". I
am sure it is the same for many of us.
OK, I'm done. I have wasted enough kilobytes of your
inbox space already! :-P
Regards,
Bill
P.S. That was TOO funny Greg! ROFLMAO
