Hope your get better soon, Bill. We had a pretty good turn out last
night. At least a dozen of us. The last of us left around 11:30! We had
a few newbies - Cliff from Macon (prize for most distance traveled),
Unbounded Bill (and his chaufer) and Jeff (not Blanks) who isn't even
on this list (yet) but happened to learn of the meeting on the website.
Lots of prog talk. Some discussion and planning of Roguefest amongst a
few of us. Cliff played some tracks from his Big Hairy Monster demo,
even though it wasn't the best listening environment! Lots of
networking and information exchanges. Jeff Blanks informed us that his
long out of print album is now available as "shareware" on the net -
download it and if you like it, send him a few bucks. He'll be posting
the link soon, I suspect. Greg informed us his progpalace.com internet
radio station is once again online, and many of us bemoaned the lack of
a viable showcase series - mostly due a dearth of bands available to
play. Speaking of which - how many of you are in bands that are
available to play? Chime in! If we can dig up EIGHT gigging groups,
then we should be able to keep a regular thing going at Brandyhouse. At
this point, I can only think of a handful of groups amongst us who are
ready and willing to play - and most of those have appeared at the last
few showcases. Redundancy will doom the series, so we need more of you
to come forward...
Onward...
