I don't have that Tull CD but the glowing reviews say I should. Maybe I'll find
it under the tree. I'd like some classical pipe organ Christmas music, too, if
anybody can suggest some specific CDs. I've got Mannheim Steamroller
Christmas. Some tunes on it are too cheesy even for me... and I LIKE cheesy
Moog arrangements. The rest of it's OK.
I agree about Happy Christmas, A Charlie Brown Christmas, big band vocal music
(and orchestral instrumental music) with sleigh bells. I love ELP's Father
Christmas tune off Works. I don't know which Burl Ives and Gene Autry CDs to
shop for.
Here are some CDs I'll play this season:
Bing Crosby - White Christmas (doh!)
Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong - It's Christmas Time
Author Fiedler - The Boston Pops' Christmas Festival
Boston Pops / Fiedler - Christmas Favorites
Ormandy / Philadelphia Orchestra - Greatest Christmas Hits
Vince Guaraldi Trio - A Charlie Brown Christmas
California Guitar Trio - 10 Christmas Songs
Winterlude - Instrumentals for a Contemplative Christmas
von Karajan/Berlin Philharmonic - A Christmas Concert
New England Christmastide 2 (MFSL MFCD 799)
Flute - Greatest Hits (on CBS)
and maybe, if I get a wild hair:
New Wave Christmas
The Edge of Christmas
A Christmas Gift for You from Phil Spector
Elvis' Christmas Album
I'm always looking to add a CD or two if ya'll have any suggestions.
And to all a good night (yawn),
Nick
