If you run out of things to do in NY (hardly likely!) you MUST see De
La Guarda - it's one of the most stimulating and exciting performance
events ever. And don't forget to check out this cool little CD shop
across the street from the NYU Tower Records - I don't know the name,
but you can't miss it.

I've never heard of anybody going to New York City for Spring Break,
so I thought it would be a novel idea.
On Tuesday night, April 5, we will attend a performance of "Spamalot",
the new musical written by Eric Idle and based on his film "Monty
Python and the Holy Grail" from 1974. The new musical stars Tim Curry,
Hank Azaria, David Hyde Pierce and a cast of thousands.
I also have three friends from high school here in Atlanta who are now
living and working in New York. One's a drama teacher and theater
director, the other's a jazz drummer who plays in Broadway pit
orchestras, and the other sings in the chorus of the Metropolitan
Opera Company. I hope to meet up with each of them and have them show
us around town.
I understand CBGB's is about to lose their lease so I might go by and
buy a T-shirt.
Neither my wife nor I have ever really seen New York; I've just passed
through a couple of times, although I did get to go to the top of the
World Trade Center in 1981 during a train station layover on my way to
Boston.
