[atlantaprog] Last week's meeting...

Hi,

I've been swamped and haven't been able to get back to ya'll with a
proper report... here are a few notes and thoughts...

There were a couple of folks there who were at the first meeting, and
no one but from from the second meeting. Everyone else - about 7 or 8
others (10 total) were newbies to the meeting. Much of the meeting
was spent going over things that have been discussed already, and
bringing folks up to speed. Then we talked about the scene in general.

I've come to the conclusion that these meetings should be mainly
about shop-talk and networking - sort of a "salon" format or a
roundtable. We can't rely on these meetings as a place for business
to get done because there's too much inconsistency. What say ya'll?

The business of ARIA will get done by handfuls of interested people
over email I suspect... much like Bill is doing with the website
(great work Bill... send me what you've got so we can fine tune it
and post it! - don't spend too much time on aesthetics... I'll just
use a variation of my logo design until Greg and I get together on
the Flash thing).

Steve Carroll and I will be putting our heads together on festival
ideas in the near future. If anyone else want's to part of that
discussion, let us know.

Next months meeting in tentatively set for Monday 2/3... but I
haven't reserved the room yet, so I'll confirm later.

AWG
