Once again I'd like to thank Matthew for his hard work at keeping all
of this together! A couple of thoughts - has anyone invited Curtis to
join the ARIA list? Sounds like he could be a good ally! Also, as a way
of supporting Curtis (and helping ARIA's profile with the 9-Lives
guys), maybe some of us should patronize some of Curtis' events - like
for instance these Classic Rock nights - BTW will he be having a cover
band those nights? It could be fun!
Also, I'd like to make sure everyone knows that 9-Lives isn't taking
any money off the top of the door. ALL of that money goes to the bands
- which is the way it SHOULD be! This means, however that it's more
critical than ever that we all spend a few $ when we're there. They
have fairly decent bar food I've been told, so maybe some of us could
pick dinner there on show nights! Especially if you're not buying beer
(or ginger ale in my case!)
Matthew, do you have enough confidence in the April show that we can
start promoting it? Both myself and Chip from Sundog are members of a
large performing artists organization called Alternate ROOTS
(www.alternateroots.org), and many ROOTS members are looking forward
for a chance to see both of our bands at the same, so the sooner we can
give the word, the better crowd we can bring in.
