Larry,
Loved meeting and hanging out with Larry in the late seventies and early
eighties. I wish I could tell him now. There are no wrong musical moments,
just opportunities to pull a rabbit out of the hat every now and again. I am
sure technicians will disagree but I didn't keep coming back because he was
almost technically perfect and fast enough to race around the guitar with
John McLaughlin and Al DiMeola. It was his passion always evident. It was
always something though to see that frenetic five minute start turn after
into technically perfect smoothness, not to mention speed demon madness. It
was magic when it settled down for sure but that first five was always
extremely magical for what it was becoming. Becoming is blessed indeed!
Unless you mean disco of course!
