Welcome Randall.
If you or anyone's interested in jazz you may want to check out Alex
Skolnick this Sunday at the Red Light Caf=E9.
Hope to see you there.

I'm a independent promoter(i hate that title)
This is my first show I've promoted at the Echo.
I used to be the booking agent for Eyedrum art and
music gallery back in 2001.
Anyone ever been there?
I also play in a free improvisational group called the
Flakes. We don't write songs, we flake out.

here's a review from the Creative Loafing:

Best Local Out-Jazz / Free-Improv / Experimental Band=20

The Flakes=20

With its irregular rhythms and atonality, free-form
improvised music can be an acquired taste at best, a
tiresome indulgence at worst. But local trio the
Flakes put their clashing guitars and drums to good
use by veering toward slightly more cohesive
interplay. It's made all the more palatable by the
series of obscure, sometimes hilarious, educational
films projected behind them. In fact, the sounds
become remarkably appropriate
