[atlantaprog] Happy Holidays from the Kargel family!!!

**SEASONS GREETINGS**

Kargel Family Holiday Newsletter 2004

Greetings from Rome, Georgia!

Wow! What a year 2004 has been! A far cry from what we had to endure in
2002...

Of course the main event for this past year was the arrival of our son Rowen!
As you all are likely aware, we had medically-related issues that had to be
addressed in the hospital that required surgery. Well, Rowen turned eight
months old on December 1st, and other than the surgical scar running across his
belly and the fact that we have to monitor his blood glucose daily, you would
never know that we ever had a problem! Rowen will eventually require regular
doses of insulin as he grows, but for the time being he has not required any?in
fact, he has not required any insulin for nearly five months!

The past year has not been without its share of challenges. Due to a number of
events beyond our control that converged upon us in quick order (some of it
still related to events from 2002, some related to Rowen's birth, and other
issues), our finances have been critically strained all year long. The good
news is that the financial picture is looking much better for 2005. We should
be able to get by on our own, at least!

After many years of working a schedule that required working weekends, Bill is
finally working a schedule that is "normal" in a traditional sense, Monday
through Friday, 8AM to 5PM! Now Bill and Bridget have the same days off on a
regular basis, and we are at last able to spend a lot of time together as a
family! Bill has been working for Integrated Broadband Services (IBBS) in
Cartersville, GA since June of 2003, performing broadband tech support for the
client cable companies of IBBS.

Bridget is now in her fifth year as a Speech Therapist in the school
system...she is assigned to only one school and has her own classroom space to
do her work! Bridget is part of the faculty at Pennville Elementary School for
the Chattooga County School System in Georgia, a relatively short commute from
Rome.

We are looking forward to great things in 2005! Rowen will celebrate his first
birthday on April 1st, and Bill?s sister Beth will be getting married at the
end of May (Bill will be giving her away)!

Things have been fairly overwhelming this past year, so we apologize for not
having recent pictures of Rowen available to see for most of that time...we
were just too busy to find the time to upload them! That is also largely why
Bill hasn?t been so quick about updating his LiveJournal page or his website at
Yahoo/Geocities...not enough time! Therefore, we have included with this
message an attached picture of Rowen in full holiday dress! Enjoy!

So Happy Holidays and best wishes from the "Roman" Kargel Family, and here's to
a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year for all!

Yours Truly,

Bill, Bridget & little Rowen Kargel
