Hey all, here's something that some of you might be interested in (BTW, this is from the guy who hosted the League of Crafty Guitarists' recent Atlanta residency):
Hello folks -
In 2004, the Atlanta Guitar Spiral will begin hosting an every-other-week Guitar Circle for Beginners. This is open to everyone from people with no guitar or guitar circle experience on through to players with any amount of experience who wish to "begin again".
You have received this email because you are either 1) previously or currently affiliated with the Atlanta Guitar Spiral or 2) have expressed interest in working with a circle, or 3) you have contact with lots of people who might be interested in this approach.
Please let me know if you are interested in this project. We will work with steel-string acoustic guitars tuned to New Standard Tuning, and we will explore exercises and techniques derived from our accumulated experience with Guitar Craft.
The first meeting will take place on Saturday, January 10 from noon - 2 p.m. at the Center for Creative Aspiration in Candler Park. Suggested donation for the meeting is $10. Assuming sufficient ongoing interest, we will meet every other Saturday at the same time.
