*sigh*      I still miss the Wreck Room.  Toward the end, it was my home
away from home, and the vibe there on a good night (with not just the
bands who were playing, but also the c. 13 bands who practiced in the
adjacent practice spaces) was just terrific.  

Of all the changes the Olympics wrought in this city, the loss of the
Wreck Room (and a sizeable chunk of the rock/metal scene) was the
unkindest cut of all.
