[atlantaprog] Re: Greetings, fellow prog'ers

Truth in advertising should be:

The Extreme: $7 to get in, but BYOB or pay $15 for all you can drink
watered down beer. No actual bar on site, but bands are considering
having a drive up bar car.
Now there's something to get MADD involved in.
The driveup Bar car.
Complete with automation bar. Just add money and the drink is
automatically made for you. Or the manual version could be a golf cart
converted with a bartender.

Now for the news....

This weekend I hope to have things completed for the most part to bring
some new pages to life.
These pages will include a chat, playing now, a small popup telling you
about the band and album, a link to listen, a way for listeners to
request songs as well as buy the music as well.

The biggest thing I think will help everyone is the chat which could
turn into something cool when having bands come into the studio to hang
out. Now there's a way for listeners to tune in and chat and ask
questions which could be answered over the station.

It also allow listeners to request songs. Due to the DMCA all requests
will be played 60 mins after requested.

The new playlist will allow listeners to buy the music as well. I have
it setup to buy through amazon.com if your music is not on amazon.com
another way to allow listeners to purchase the music can be setup.
Suggestions on this part are welcome. More to come....

I do have a question for you all....

This is a loaded question, but for those out there that don't have a CD
completed or are working to complete their CD why not offer the
listeners that visit your sites a way to purchase the music VIA MP3s.

You all can make a few dollars selling the MP3s to those that can't wait
for the CD to be delivered. Another thought would be to offer MP3s to
those who buy the CD until the CD arrives (price could be set a bit
higher for MP3 download and CD). Just thought to ask you all.

More coming.....

>>>later on, i used to really dig "spring break"...

Wow, Spring Break! I played there once in 1990 or 1991.

>>>i wonder what happened to toe.

I saw him a couple of years ago when he was running the 513 club. We
used
to play the Wreck Room all the time and people called it a dive. I
thought
it was actually a decent place, but the 513...now THAT was a dive!
